Thanks to improved water quality in Boston Harbor, swimming is becoming a popular summer pastime in Boston. Check the color-coded water quality flags found at all Boston Harbor Beaches to make sure that it is safe to swim, or call the Department of Conservation and Recreation's Water Quality Hotline.
