Deer Island
Deer Island HarborWalk
The HarborWalk at Deer Island includes a 2.6-mile perimeter pathway lined with interpretive exhibits and is perfect for walking, jogging, fishing, picnicking or simply relaxing. From Deer Island's highest vantage point, there are sweeping views of the Harbor and downtown Boston. The public can also visit and learn about the Deer Island Wastewater Treatment Plant and the Boston Harbor Project at the award-winning Visitor Center, which was once the original pump house on the island.
Visitors along Deer Island’s HarborWalk will also see a stunning tribute to Judge David Mazzone, the federal judge who oversaw the lawsuit which resulted in a clean Boston Harbor.
