South Boston

Federal Express

This segment of the HarborWalk along the Reserved Channel is an oasis of greenery and quiet in South Boston with wonderful views of both the large cruise ships docked at the Black Falcon Cruise Terminal as well as the downtown Boston skyline. Amenities on this HarborWalk segment include great walking paths with lush landscaping, lighting, and secluded benches for quiet relaxation. A pier extending out over the Reserved Channel is popular for recreational fishing or simply observing the wading birds. There is public parking available in the Federal Express lot, adjacent to the public waterfront open space. When construction on the adjacent NSTAR HarborWalk segment is completed, the Federal Express property owner will construct the missing link between the Federal Express and NSTAR HarborWalk segments. Once connected, the public will have some of the best amenities and access to the waterfront along the Reserved Channel.
