South Boston

HarborWalk at the Fan Pier

From the HarborWalk on the Fan Pier, visitors can enjoy one of the best panoramas of the city, with unobstructed views of downtown to East Boston and the Harbor Islands. This HarborWalk segment has four interpretive elements which describe the history of the Fan Pier, as well as benches, plantings, and trash barrels. As part of the new office building at One Marina Park Drive on the Fan Pier, a new HarborWalk segment and dock opened along the Fan Pier in April, 2009. A new Public Green, also part of the new office development, will be completed by December, 2009.
